John Burr was hired on the T in July of 1985 as a repairer at Cabot Shops. Later in the year John went to Riverside Shops where he as a repairer on the Green Line. He was elected in 1996 as the Barn Captain and served in that capacity until his election as Delegate of RSS in 2002.
He has served the Carmen's Union as an alternate on the Pension Board and attended the Labor Guild from 1994 to the present. John also is a delegate to the Greater Boston Labor Council and the Plymouth Bristol Labor Council.
John lives in Brockton and has a son, two daughters and
two grandchildren.
