Walter Novicki was hired by the MBTA in July 1990 as a track laborer and worked as a track man, system repairman, and 10-years as a heavy equipment operator.

Brother Novicki was elected by the membership as a Barn Captain and served in that capacity from 2001 to 2007.

In December 2007, Walter was elected by the membership as the Delegate for System Maintenance for the Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589.

Walter resides in Quincy and has two daughters, Rachael and Jacqueline.
