Local 589 Attends Roosevelt Awards

5/1/08 - The Boston Carmen's Union Local 589 was front and center on April 30th at the Massachusetts Democratic Party's Roosevelt Awards Dinner. The event featured Governor Deval Patrick, Lt. Governor Tim Murray, State Auditor Joseph DeNucci, State Treasurer Tim Cahill and a host of Massachusetts State Representative and Senators.

President/Business Agent Steve MacDougall and Vice President John Lee represented Local 589 at the event and took the opportunity to talk with the Governor and Legislative leaders to confirm the Union's strong opposition to attacks on collective bargaining.
